Persoalan saya, perlukah melayu Malaysia ni mengahadapi scenario yg sama utk menjadi seperti melayu singapura???? Hilang tanah, maruah bangsa tergadai baru nak jadi kuat? Perlukah kita jadi sombong dan bangga selepas kita hilang segalanya.. Read the rest of this entry »

I would say a Master is a person who holds power and can regulate other people within his order and desires, and people are bound to his judgment. Without a Master’s consent, one could not reach to a decision which is important to be made there after.

The quota system is a system which enable certain groups of people, which comes from different races, to place themselves into certain oraganization or area by competing against each of the same members of that group, as the amount of the admission has been fixed up by the government, according to the population of that particular race.
We used to have a quota system for the admission to the local universities, before it was repealed by our former Prime Minister, Tun Dr.Mahathir Mohamad. The disadvantages of the quota system is that, its act slightly unfair and eventually caused the Malays student to becoming more incompetent and weak. This due to the fact that, they feel very easy and need not to struggle in order to place themselves in the local universities.
Today the system is based on meritocracy. This system has induced a massive change in the area of the statistics of the student getting into the local universities. There has been said and stated that, the first year under the meritocracy implementation, the Malays mantain their chart as the biggest group of getting into the local U. While there has been an increase of the amount of the Chinese students, the Indians was said to be left out. They enjoyed 5% of students quota, before dropped to about 3 and 4% after the implementation of meritocracy. Read the rest of this entry »

Recently a forum was conducted by BAR Council entitled “the social contract”, with panelist namely Dr Farish, Dr Puthucheary, Dr Kua and Thomas. While academic Dr Mavis Puthucheary and political scientist Dr Kua Kia Soong called it a piece of fiction, constitutional lawyer Tommy Thomas and political scientist Dr Farish Noor disagreed.
