Speaking up the truth and unraveling the lies to make Malaysia a better place

I Know Its Too Early, But Thanks Pak Lah..

bye-pak-lah

Always love you..

I have plan to publish this article on march 2009, the day Pak Lah waves his hand and leave the Putrajaya office. Instead, I write it now, as to whether he will read or not, I don’t mind. This is a very sincere remark on part of me, to appreciate the things that you have done, our 5th Prime Minister of Malaysia, Datuk Seri Abdullah Bin Hj.Ahmad Badawi.

Pak Lah, I am sorry if my words personally attack you and your family, but you know that I am not the only person who did told this. Million of Malaysians are also in the team. We give you our big hand when you came around to see us, when you visit us in villages and town, and when you speak, we smile at you. Pak Lah, we love you.

But we know that its not your fault. Yeah, when the price of the global oil did increased, its not your fault. When there is a landslide in Bukit Antarabangsa, its not your fault. When criminal cases increases day by day, its not your job to control the belief of those criminal offender. When road accident statistic rise upon festive season, we don’t blame you.

You are the most humble Prime Minister we ever have. I still remember when you said, ” Saya adalah kuli nombor satu rakyat! Bekerjalah bersama saya, bukan bekerja kerana saya.”

Pak Lah, I am touched. I live during Tun Dr.Mahathir’s reign, but I have never hear such things came from his mouth. But you are different. Different from others. You are special. When you first made to the top post, your mother told the press and reminded you to be humble. We remember that Pak Lah, we always remember that.

Pak Lah, my family know you personally. Do you still remember the day your car broke down, and suddenly one lori sayur came, you get into the lorry and the chinese driver drove you back home. Do you still remember when you are not in the cabinet, when you have no jobs, only close friends visited you weekly.

Pak Lah, you did not buy any house before you become the PM. You live at the quarters in Bukit Bellamy, KL. You are the most humble and clean person. No wonder people tagged you as “Mr.clean”. I still remember, you have only two cars, the old BMW and Mini. We like you because the way you are during those days. But today, everything has changed.

When you become the PM, you have totally changed. You forget where you come from. Your roots, you original lifestyle, your sincererity.

Pak Lah, you are wise old man. But people around you had destroyed you. Your adviser, your family, did not put themselves in the supposed position to advise you as your role, the Prime Minister of Malaysia. You did not see what you are supposed to see, you ignore the facts, and uphold the fake, you becoming less sharpen due to your lame advisor.

They induced you in so many ways, and you did not have courage to fight them. You follow what they said, without observing the danger in front. Pity you.

Now its too late for everything. Your time has come. I think you deserves the title “Bapa Demokrasi”. Because you really open the floodgate, and let the spears grow. Only during your reign, the Bersih emerged, HINDRAF, Perhimpunan SEJUTA Rakyat, PROTES, SKUAD BERANI BOGEL REFORMIS ANWAR, and you continue the lists.

But its okay Pak Lah, for me, you have done your best. It was just a slight mistake, to take you down. You have to realize that Pak Lah, this is because you are the Prime Minister of Malaysia. Its so high that you might fall one day. You should learn to use your power very well. I hate to say this, but you should not disregard Mahathir in the first place. I you didn’t, I am quite sure your term will be longer than you had never expected.

He is Master. Should you learn from him, but you don’t. You have decided to follow your advisor, instead of palling with Mahathir. You have make a big mistake, my dear Pak Lah.

I pray for you. I pray for your healthy, and InsyaAllah we will meet again to have some tea.

I agreed when you said that pak lah humble. maybe when someone expose to such position and power the goodness tend to fade away. not to blame him coz even other people might done the same thing. or maybe coz he too good and people around him try to manipulate. it hard to maintain to what extent the quality that we have coz we always gonna be tested. its just the question of whether we lose or win the battle.. if lose we have to fight back.. its just the mattter of power..

  2. Dr. Sid,

I think its still too early to discount Pak Lah but anyhow lets look at what you have said. According to your post the raison d’être for Pak Lah’s premature exit was captured in the following :-
“…. hate to say this, but you should not disregard Mahathir in the first place.”

Tun was a good politician – and he is so good that till today he still manages to blind everybody to what is so obvious, that he sowed the seeds of destruction to the whole nation.
I’ll start with the latest story – the landslide and overdevelopment in Bukit Antarabangs. You don’t have to be a rocket scientist to know that somewhere very close to the root of this problem is the blatant disregard for people, the law and contempt for everybody who is not you.

    I think thats called Mahatirism!

Now everybody can go on and on about the development et,all. I’ll put it to all of you bluntly – in 1981, RM 1 could get yourself a lunch, in 2003, it can’t even buy you a packet of air tebu.

When I was young, Tun amazed me. Then I woke up and began to read stuff for myself. To me, Tun’s style of governing and Lehman Brothers share a similar trait – borrow heavily, invest in assets, and hope for the best.

We all know what happened to Lehman. Thats perhaps 100,000 employees. Here we have 25 million citizens.

Like it or not, if Pak Lah had gone ahead and done everything that Tun wanted, perhaps RM 100 billion later, we would now be in a much much worse shape than we are.

Pak Lah’s big problem was that he was the next person to sit in the hot seat. The seat was made so hot, that anybody who sits on it was gonna get burnt, and thats not a complement to the predecessor.

You cannot be an effective PM if you play too much golf, leaving it to the opportunistic advisers to make important decisions for the country. Every time you play golf, at least half a day is gone.

Hope Najib will take note of this as he plays golf too.

    Salam Doc,

Dollah tried very hard to at least have a legacy when he leaves the office, so he came out with Bill of Trust, widely covered in daily paper, and later became an element of laughter.

I like to share to your joy that Dollah is leaving. But pity him, so far he has nothing that makes us remember, except for no lorries during hari raya. So I like to cheer Dollah with a song:

    Bye bye Lah,
    Bye bye dreadfulness,
    Hello happiness,
    I wish you won’t cry.

    Wassalam.

p/s Mr Wenger, only four years in the office, the three corridors introduced by Dollah cost more than RM 100 billion, close to Tun’s budget in 22 years of reining.

  8. Pemuda IKS says:

    Salam perjuangan,

What ever happens if the “Pak Lah is Staying Rumour” was right? Can’t wait to see that happens.

Pak Lah, with no doubt has his strength and weaknesses like us of all people. After all, we are all human who tends to make mistake. The difference is whether it’s big time or correctable ones. We should appreciate what he has done. Pemuda IKS thanks you, Pak Lah.

Wenger J K, i found no harm with regards to Tun M’s ways of administrating the country. life is a gamble anyway. Lehman bankrupt, when the economy is not good, but Tun M has never bankrupt anything, but Pak Lah did.

Golf is a good sport, but too much swing can cause you ….. aha, sudah tahu takpa

hey singh, the song was so kejam.hahaha

IKS, yes we should atleast appreciate what this man has done. always respect the eldest..

nice. written in a petulant style to get your msg across.
first time here but will certainly come back.

  11. lordapes says:

Wenger. in 1981, there was no RM1. it was M$1. yes. you could buy lunch with that amount of money. in 2003, you can only buy 1 cup of air tebu at the pasar malam.

however, it is not the same all over the world. in 1983, with USD1 you can buy lunch. in 2003, with USD1, you can buy dinner for 3 and still have extra to tip the waiter. get real.

and also, i fail to see the connection of the landslide with mahathirism.

yeah, you don’t have to be a rocket scientist. you have to be an engineer to understand the root of the problem. landslides are most of the time caused by poorly drained land. overdevelopment causes drains to be clogged (or most of the time, simply doesn’t exist) and water have no place to go. it is absorbed by the soil, weakens it and eventually the soil will fail due to lack of cohesive force between soil particles and build-up pressure from water.

i think this is called slope failure. not mahathirism.
