Speaking up the truth and unraveling the lies to make Malaysia a better place

Bangsa Malaysia: A Total Fake!

people parliament? yeah right!

A Total Fake!

Bangsa Malaysia. Often hear, but never seen before, now and maybe for the next couple of decades. Bangsa Malaysia is the climate of change, that provides a better future for the country. But do we really understand what Bangsa Malaysia all about?

It is a mere nick, but not name. It is a fictitious, but not real. It is a myth, and not history. We talk about the emergence of Bangsa Malaysia, without giving him a chance to enter the gate. We lie to ourselves. Bangsa Malaysia never existed. The Malay claim that this land is theirs. They claim that they are supreme over the land, and the Malay supremacy shall be there forever. And one blog entitled “A defender of a Malay Supremacy” was created. We follow without understanding the real actual fact behind those thing.

The Malay supremacy is an idiot idealism I must say. It just make things worse. We donot even understand the fact that we are far left behind. Whose supremacy that we are talking about? The Malays still remain poor, and jobless. The Malay still in their tight sleep, believe that they will wake up in the morning with no struggle and harm. They are feeling complacent.

The Chinese didn’t feel that they are home, and still of the view that China is the Mainland. Hong Kong is the greatest, and the Great Wall was the masterpiece of all. Discriminate in business, harsh with intra-races, believing in equal rights, but refuse to give up rights. There is one maxim in the law of trust, saying that “those who seek equity must give equity”. Asking for the abolishment of 153, but never to 70% of equity. Demanding for the new rise of education system, but unable to give up the racial based school. Going for the multiracial party, but nothing inside the party is multi-racial. DAP is a multi-racial. Gerakan is a multi-racial. But everybody knows whose party it is.

Asking for the first non-malay Prime Minister, but never ask for the first Malay president of DAP or atleast Gerakan. We say something that we don’t do. We ask something that we don’t give. We lie to ourselves. Now lets read one comment from one of my proficient reader, who claim himself as a “good man”;

It is undeniable that malays are stupid, incapable and lazy. Why don’t they just humbly admit the facts and repent and learn from other races especially Chinese?

What is the point to argue here and wasting time again?

From the first onwards we were merely telling the truths. It wasn’t us who think that way but their own Badawi as well.

All malays should go and read the newspaper, even Badawi is ashamed of maintaining the NEP after 34 years of implementing it and these malay baboons are still asking for it.

Even Badawi wanted them to compete on a level playing field.

So what does all these tell the world? It sends a very clear message that it is malays themselves who are incapable and lazy and they don’t even want to admit it and make a change!

That is the biggest shame of all.

Can’t you see, it is all back to square one. Year in, year out, some talk for half an hour, some one, some two. Some sing, many belt out their most recent released ‘pantun’.

After all. Malays are good at that. Suggestions after suggestions, some good, some impossible to realize.

But, do you see any of these materialised? Hardly. Why, why and why???

Because the malays can never change. Never! Why?

The leaders forgot it or were they simply didn’t want to address and admit that the actual disease is the malays and the remedy itself is also, the malays. They can never change. What is it about the malays?

Firstly as you all know, they are a lazy species. Since the beginning of time they have been like that. Even the encyclopedia called them as lazy people. I think those British with their accent tried to call them ‘malas’, and if you put ‘y’ in, it becomes ‘malays’.

Embracing Islam make them a worse lot. Now they have a license to kill anything that gets into their way.

Malays are ungrateful lot. In reality, they just can’t live or open their minds for others. When Mahathir said that they are complacent, they put him in jail. When Mahathir encouraged them to learn English language, they got angry with him, saying it is a ‘bahasa penjajah’.

When other races ‘maju’, they got angry with them too. That was why at the end of Mahathir his regime, he said this, “I have achieved greatness as a prime minister, but I only fail in one thing, changing the malays.”

Well, nothing to be surprised about anyway since Mahathir is not really a malay, and I guess that was why the malays were angry with him.

Drug abuse, hate, incest, liberal extremism (culture of miniskirts and gay marriages), murder, parochialism, racism, rape, religious fanaticism, snatch theft, spoilt bratty behavior, tribalism, wife abuse, child abuse, all that is associated with the malay race.

To them, malay is the biggest impediment towards building a truly Malaysian nation, and should be chucked into the dustbins of history.

A genetically flawed race cannot be fixed by politically. Nature will take its course and globalization will put them out to pasture.

What have we got now?

Brain drain, economic disparity getting wider, poor education system, racial segregation, widespread corruption, inefficiency and uncompetitive on the government departments and others.

Sad. Sad. Sad. The question asked by many of my fellow Chinese is this – Why can’t you just tell the malay peoples to adopt Chinese culture which is superior?

From research, this peninsular was part of the Siamese empire way before these malays from Indonesia invaded it.

Still so thick skin, don’t want to go back to Indonesia!

The Indians, fighting for their rights with Ghandi potrait in their bare hands. So Malaysian kan kita semua? Forget about bangsa Malaysia! We are the land of racism, and for racism is that, we should stop lying to ourselves…

That’s quite a racist comment by that fella.
Hong Kong is nice. 10=15 years ago. But Msia has developed so much since those days that it’s no longer necessary to go to HK.
I have a strange nostalgia with that place as I spent many young days holidaying there.
Anyway the Malays should not try to be Chinese. Competitiveness is overrated.
I think Malays are much more creative, innovative and definitely more gutsy, like defending their race, than the Chinese who may just watch as a “brother” is robbed on the street…It has happened….

  2. Pemuda IKS says:

    Salam perjuangan,

There is truth in what you are saying. We have to stop lying to ourselves. Most of us are racist but we still can tolerate as long as it stays out of the offensive zone. The upbringing of sensitive racial and religious issues just added up heat to the existing flame among the community. Pretending is played well among us.

Some of us don’t even care. Some of us work hard to bring us together. It doesn’t matter what is your stand. The main idea is to keep playing that role to form unity from the inside. Forget about being a ‘lalang’. On certain issues, race and religion must not be affected. These are most prestigious aset that we are born with.

Above all, we have to stop thinking for ourselves and start working for a better home. Protecting and defending the Malay Rights is a must but must also tolerate with these aliens as long as they are not harmful or offensive. We must warn them, don’t fuck with us!

  3. Hi Dr. Sid,
Why is race important? I think its because the culture here, regardless of race, views race as a character trait. I had to retype my response a couple of times until I reached that conclusion. What it means, if your in Race X your automatically are
    a) smart
    b) lazy,
    c) trendy,
    d) greedy,
    e) trustworthy
    f) untrustworthy
    g) reliable,
    h)unreliable,
    i)backword
    j)forward thinking

So then the answer could be like this, If I am in Race A and you are in Race B I will view you with all the negative aspects. If on the other hand, you and I share the same race, I may be more reluctant to view you negatively, because you and I share the same race.

So a person X judges a person Y based on his race. More often and than not, the negative attributes usually dominate. So I agree with you, Bangsa Malaysia is a no hoper.

But thats not my point. My point is, does the evidence back this assessment. Should I be suspicious of a person of another race because of his race. Does his or her attitude and character conform to my view of this person?

From my experience, the answer is NO!

Most Malaysians, by and large, if you strip out the apperance and language, think at the same level. They all want to prosper, to have a happy family, less crime and greater opportunity for their children. But they are of course unable to execute.

The racial prejudices will keep Malaysia as a backward nation – I see Malaysians as the classic frog in pan experiment. The flames of globalization have been turned full blast, the water is boiling slowly, but we can continue to adopt the same old ideas and approaches I guess until the day when eating 3 square meals a day becomes a luxury that few can afford.

Should we aim for Bangsa Malaysia? Honestly, I have looked at our economic indicators and I think that its too late.

    Yup just too late.

Structurally, we are totally screwed. Deep down we all want the same things but as a nation, looking at the mutual distrust and suspicion, we just aint gonna get any of it. We can blame orang tu, they can blame us, and last of all we will blame it on some rogue Jewish speculators based out of New York. Or even, better, lets blame it on Obama. Yup Obama screwed us. What an asshole.

So lets just continue our merry path towards mutual destruction. My only disappointment is that I cannot short the market. Damn!

So, to me it doesn’t really matter if we want to have bangsa malaysia, bumiputera, non-bumiputera, penduduk, pendatang, alien, ET, melayu, india, cina, kadazan, punjabi, whatever. That is not going to change the inevitable.

Can I make Indonesia my second home?

Hong Kong is too far, Singapore is their Mecca. But bloggers in Singapore are rare and have become endangered species.

If DAP is multiracial, then KJ is a an angel, and Najib is a god-sent savior, thus Teresa Kok is malay-loving fairy godmother.

tapi apa2 hal pun, bumi tuhan ni luas. tuhan dah design bumi ni cukup utk semua. percayalah, selagi kita tak tamak, semua orang dapat cukup makan, terutamanya di MALAYSIA yg memang tuhan dah bagi rezeki yg melimpah ruah.

the malays have this kind of perception against the indian, and the chinese. the chinese have this kind of perception against the malay and indian. we are not ready to be like the people of Uncle Sam country. so stop dreaming about watching Malaysian first “barack obama”…

  7. Cicit Dang Rombeh says:

    Assalamualaikum Doc,

The truth out there is …. we Malays are too nice, we are a race that soo nice to others, its our way, its our culture. Unfortunately, the others are divide into three groups:-

    1. who accept Malays and thankful towards our kindness

    2. who make from our kindness and at the same time try to make more, couldnt care less about us, have faced the 13th May. Try to make money and maybe, maybe thinking of retiring somewhere else.

    3. who hate us and the same time will try their best to take over, who thought they are supreme to us.

I have faced many of the third breed as a professional. Even in one case, my former boss, a foochow from Sarawak, have about 20 managers, 18 were non Malays, 1 Sarawakian Bumi and 1 Malay. In every meeting, 19 others will only have one sentence come out from their mouth “Yes Boss”, I am the only one that dare to open my mouth and try my level best to be worth my salary. So when I resign from the company, twice, my big boss arrange for a farewell party, which was never in his vocabulary. Its shock a lot of people due to most of his non-malay managers, left the company without any farewell party organised by him. Even in one case, his former GM’s farewell party, which was organised by the staff was rudely cancelled by him because it was held on his premise.

I am not a racist, will never be a racist, but as a Malay, I will defend my religion and race to the end. I hope the others will realise that we will never be a Bangsa Malaysia, the current scenario works, we may be Malays, Chinese or even Indians, we cannot change that, but we could at least learn to live together. I have works abroad before, and Malaysia still the best. A friend of mine, Jacques Boge, was in Malaysia about 15 years ago, meet him in Shoaiba, he keep telling me, apart from his own country, France (which he never works there) Malaysia was the best place too earn a living.

    Well enough said …..

there is always a hope to see the bangsa malaysia. but said bangsa malaysia is not focusing on equal rights and shares. whether it is 153 or 70% equity. the bangsa malaysia means unity. but for now, it seems to be hopeless. like cicit dang rombeh said, we cannot change the fact that we are multi-racial, but we could at least learn to live together..

  9. Jack Jack says:

I think the people of Uncle Sam country voted for Obama because they saw their wealth disappear before their eyes. Over there,, there is no such thing as EPF, only 401k which is invested in stocks. The Dow Jones plunged 30% in 1 month, the Dow is not like our compost index, it is the benchmark index of the worlds greatest economy. Statistically you can say that happens 1 in 1,000,000,000 years – it does not matter.

When they saw the value of their homes, their savings and their jobs disappear, they voted Obama. Before that McCain was neck to neck. You are right, we won’t have an Obama because we have EPF.

That is a big comfort zone. As long as EPF still continues to be run professionally, BN will be in power. If BN were to screw EPF, they would have killed the goose that laid the golden egg.

Without it, people may think differently and vote the best possible candidate. That said, with palm oil heading south, oil collapsing (yup we are a net oil exporter ha ha,) and eurocopters bought for 2x the price, you just may not know.

  10. San says:

A non-malay even though he is more capable and more qualified but cannot:

Be – the prime minister of the country
Be – the deputy prime minister of the country
Be – the head of any branch of the armed forces in the country
Be – the head of department in a ministry
Be – the head of state of the states with no rulers
Be – the head prefect of a national school
Be – the IGP of the country
Be – the nominated as the best of the best in the school
Be – the secretary-general or deputy secretary-general of a ministry

What is worse is that the PM goes around telling people, repeating a crazy lie, by saying that – “We do not practice racial discrimination in our country”.

Did the MCA and MIC leaders agree to this in 1957?

Did the people in Sabah and Sarawak also agree to this in 1963?

I think malays will keep on to give rubbish answer!

  11. fargowin says:

Who wants to stay home and serve here where meritocracy gives way to racial preference? I am a two-time graduate in University Malaya (masters and bachelors degree) and I used to hope that my children could enter a local university someday.

But with sliding university ranking and invisible barriers to keep non-malay students away, I have changed my mind. If I have the opportunity and money avails itself, I will send my children to overseas universities and ask them to emigrate there. We can rot and die here, but not the children.

This brain drain is not a problem to Umno at all. In fact, Umno is happy to see more and more of our talents leaving. Their power base will then be more secure.

All this started with Dr Mahathir. He believed that a half competent malay was better than a fully competent non-malay to serve the nation. This is clearly reflected in the progressive exclusion of non-malays from teaching profession academia, public service and other areas in the public sector as well GLCs since the early 1980s.

During Dr Mahathir’s ethnic cleansing of the Malaysia public service, thousands of qualified non-malays left the country for Singapore, Australia, New Zealand, etc. Such departure was view positively by Dr Mahathir – it meant that there were more positions available for malays. That short-term thinking has had dire consequences.

During the regional economic boom of 1990s, Malaysia prospered. There was plenty of money. Incompetence and corruption did not matter – a failure could always be rectified through bailout; high costs (e.g. Proton) could always be neutralised through subsidies (for export) or higher prices (for local consumption).

The scenario today is different. Competition is stiff. Newcomers such as Vietnam are breathing down our neck. Giants (India and China) have awakened and are marching unimpeded.

Malaysia needs to exploit all its resources to meet the global challenge. Ignoring 40% of its most valuable resource (e.g. human capital – Indians, Chinese and East Malaysians) is no way to meet the challenge.

Badawi needs to put in place a policy for exploiting the most valuable resource Malaysia has – its people, including the Indians, Chinese and others. Otherwise, this resource will move away to the competitors of Malaysia.

If deployed properly, the talents will be a source of competitive advantage. If not deployed appropriately, the talents will become a source of relative competitive disadvantage for Malaysia when they end up in other countries.

Majority of the non-malays work in multinational companies. With the rate our government and GLCs pissing off these MNCs! These MNCs are moving out of Malaysia.

Get real! Why majority of the non-malays don’t work inside GLCs? What do you think they would do when these MNCs are gone? Work in GLCs or emigrate outside Malaysia?

Some of my friends are always skeptical of Singapore.

Of course, Singapore intention is to protect their own interests (isn’t what a government is for) – talented people are very mobile nowadays. Singapore also encounters brain drain to the West (US, EU, Australia), so they need new talents to come in.

They prefer Malaysians, as there are cultural ties – easy to adapt to the environment (multiracialism, language, weather, etc), like their Mr Everest climbers.

But they also welcome white mans, Thais, Indians, and Hong Kong Chinese too etc. Just take a MRT ride or go to the housing estate – you see many foreigners (not the illegal immigrant type).

We have our own national interests and should protect it, but we have more outflow of talent than inflow. Just see how we treat the economist who had a different method of calculating the bumi ratio of the economy – how to attract talent?

Some of my Malaysian friends have been offered citizenship and a few have accepted……….so those talents not going back to Malaysia.

Singapore is following US policy, US still attracted the best brains from all over the world regardless of color, check out the composition of employment in term of nationality in Silicon Valley and Nasa, you will know why it succeed, America is land of immigrants.

Umno policy is that if Umno cannot have it no other Malaysian should have it. Umno prefers a Mat Salleh (because that is a temporary situation) to have it rather than any other non-Umno Malaysian to have it.

I have been advising my relatives and friends for a long time since years ago – to encourage their children to apply for a Singapore scholarship to attend a university in Singapore even it that means she/he has to serve Singapore for 10 years.

At least, that will provide him for the future. So what is 10 years! He is free to utilise his talent as he pleases after that 10 years. I have 3 nephews who got Singapore scholarships, then served the Singapore government and are now working and being successful in Hong Kong and America.

They are heads of multinational companies. They will never be allowed to succeed in Malaysia because there is identification of race with jobs. All jobs even slightly connected with the Umno government must have malay employees. That is the new NEP.

Dear Malaysians, I don’t understand why the brains should not leave this country. The malays are definitely feel threaten by these brains, so we rather let them leave the country.

Malaysia pays peanuts and racially biased! That is why! Simple as that! Go to England, Australia and even the US hospitals and take a count of how many Malaysian born doctors are there, good doctors, man!

I traveled the world over and have lived in UK, Australia and the US. I have talked and met to these doctors. They not being unpatriotic, it is the Malaysia that is not doing the right thing!

I think Singapore should attack Malaysia and expand its territory to southern Johor. All the Indians and Chinese should migrate to southern Johor, and together with Singapore, forms a new Singapore.

Ex-Malaysians in exiles like myself will support this feasible plan. I am sure millions of overseas and mainland Chinese and Indians are excited about my suggestion.

When all the Muslim brothers from Uganda, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Nigeria, Indonesia etc etc, become bumis and enjoy the handout from NEP, there will be the day when the malays realize that they are being marginalize by its own Umno policy.

You can start counting the increasing numbers of Mamak in politics!

In Malaysia, we Malaysian Chinese just need to compete with fellow Malaysians only (where mostly lazy people). Easy to become rich – as we are governed by stupid and lazy people.

We can easily own several houses, luxury condos, own a bungalow at good location, as own and drive luxury cars in Malaysia.

In Singapore, not so easy, we have to compete with Singapore Chinese, Hong Kong Chinese, China Chinese and Taiwan Chinese. Not easy to become rich as Singapore government too smart.

Malaysia will continue to lose its talents not only to Singapore, and other countries but the Umno malays don’t give a damn. Their thinking is so long as the malays benefit, the country can go to the pigs and dogs.

They hold the entrenched view that it is better for Malaysia to be another Zimbabwe or Nepal if being in the ranks of Singapore and Japan means malays losing out to the others.

Lim Keng Yaik said that Singapore was a small country, so it was easily to govern. In fact, it is not so. Because of its size, it lacks most of the factors of production that we learn in economics.

Land is scarce, and its domestic market is small. However, it recognises that what it has is its labours. No wonder that it is wooing all the brains from Malaysia, since Malaysia does not appreciate them.

Instead, Malaysia seems to be attracting the top criminals as shown by the sharp increase in crime rate. Malaysia with its oil, tin, rubber, oil palm etc, will forever not be able to beat a small country like Singapore because of its incompetent leaders and their cronies who are only interested in their own pockets.

Before the NEP, UM was one of the top universities in the world. After the NEP, it has become trash because it rejects the best minds. The only pro of NEP is if you are in Umno or a friend of theirs.

All the Singaporeans I have met were very nice to me and treat me like one of theirs. We are the same people and I am always in favour of reunification with Singapore.

When will be the good day the Orang Asli come forward to utter their rightful word – “you all go back to your land of origin and leave us alone”.

  19. SickOfDescrimination says:

BANGSA MALAYSIA (The race called Malaysian): INDEED A TOTAL FAKE BUT CAN BE ACHIEVED SOON BUT NOT THAT SOON

What is the definition of BANGSA MALAYSIA? Can anyone please tell and share to all the readers? Well i guess not a single living being knows how to define it, that’s because no one has the thinking of doing so or no one has the chance to frame the definition either due to fear or restrictive force. Or the definition has already been set but in a way that it is still not perfect either intentionally or unintentionally.

In order to clarify the meaning of the word we must create a definition. With definition, no one will question it as it objectively brings the meaning out of the word. That is why medical terms, law terms, engineering terms and languages are all being framed up with clear explainations to avoid any arguement or disputes and to provide a standard meaning in which any people from any country, race, culture, ethinicity can carry out the meaning of the word as how the word means.

I will propose a definition for BANGSA MALAYSIA scientifically added with my opinion which was created based on all the years living, learning, and surviving in Malaysia.

Bangsa Malaysia is any individual being borned in Malaysia with the combination of the DNAs of Malay,Chinese,Indian,Semenanjung Orang Asli, and Sabah & Sarawakian bumiputeras; in which these races existed on the land called Malaya, Sabah, and Sarawak; during the time of the formation of the country called MALAYSIA; AND that particular individual is brought up with the MALAYSIAN culture for at least 21 years.

There is still no such person (Bangsa Malaysia) existing in this world currently. However, they are yet to be borned into this world on the land of MALAYSIA as the process of forming BANGSA MALAYSIA is still in progress. Meaning that, partial-Bangsa Malaysia exists in this world currently. The example will be the author of this blog who has the gene of Malay,Chinese, and Baba.

However, he is still not totally a partial BANGSA Malaysia which evidenced in one of his response that read as “I am not a racist, will never be a racist, but as a Malay, I will defend my religion and race to the end…”.

I do not blame Dr. Siddiq for his remark that he is a Malay and will only defend his religion and race to the end. This because he is influenced by external factors (culture,friends,practices..etc) and surrounding environment.

Identity of an individual is shaped from 2 components namely genetic component and phenotypic component. Genetic is the adjective of gene (the unit of chromosome which control heredity), in short, gene carries the real biological identity (the identity of a race). Phenotypic means external environment or factors in which these factors may influence their main identity.

To make a person’s identity, 2 of this components are needed. Gene which is the non-changeable component and phenotype is the changable component depending on the external factors exposed. So,a person’s idea of who he/she is, can be changed depend on which culture, environment, and education he/she was exposed to.
The example will be Dr. Siddiq (hope you don’t mind as you are a good example for my explaination).

Dr. Siddiq claimed that he is a True Malaysian as his grandparents are Baba and Malay, and his parents are Malay and Chinese. He said this because deep in him (the genetic factor), he identify himself as a combination of races which makes him deserves the True Malaysian identity. This thinking is influence directly from his malay, baba, and chinese genes. No matter where he goes he carry this genetic identity and can never be changed.

Secondly, he claimed this “I am not a racist, will never be a racist, but as a MALAY, I will defend my RELIGION and RACE to the end..” which means that he is influenced by the surrounding which makes him think that he is MALAY and will likely to defend for his religion and race because he is exposed to such environment. This is what we called phenotype component.

In actual biological make up, Dr. Siddiq is in fact a combination of malay, chinese, and baba. His biological identity is Malay-chinese-baba in which no one can change it unless genetic modification is done.wherever he goes he will bring his gene together. He claimed that he is Malay. I respect that he identified himself as Malay though he is partially chinese and baba as he might have been mixing more Malay friends than other races i assume. He was also brought up in a community of Malay race and is nourished with Islam teaching as the way of life and that’s why he soundly said that he will defend for his race and religion.

Malay friends+Malay culture+Islam = external factors that determine the phenotypic identity. That is why he said he is Malay but in fact he is combination of malay-chinese-baba.
But IF he is exposed more to chinese friends, and IF being brought up by other religion (I said IF and have to give this example just to make reader to understand the meaning that i wanted to convey. I respect your religion and the constitution of our country that Islam is the agama rasmi.), he might have identified himself as a chinese and defend other religion (IF this country allow the Son of A Muslim to take up any other religion but in fact we have to respect the constitution that this is not going to happen).

What i would like to convey from this example is that a person’s identity is influenced by genetic and external exposures that they had been through. A Malay gene who mixed with chinese friends can’t say that he is chinese eventhough he sleep, eat, work, behave like chinese as genetically he is a Malay. But a person with malay-chinese-baba or malaysian gene can say he is malay or chinese or indian or muslim or christion or buddhist or hindu depending on the cultural, social, educational and religion brought up.

If he is a person with malay-chinese-indian-orangasli-sabah-sarawakian gene and he is living in Malaysian culture, he has no choice but to identify himself as Malaysian (aww…it simply means he has no choice). If all races of Malaysia identify themselves as Malaysian, then they will protect Malaysians and no disputes will happen (unless with other country). Then i will have to say all human must protect each other countries as we stay on the same Earth and must treat ourselves as Earthlings but this stage is not going to happen so soon until i die for many trillion years.

It is a natural tendency of us to protect our own kind or identity because we know we are similar to them. How many of you all ever helped a friend of different race without thinking that they are chinese or malay or indian but just for the sake of a friend who study in the same school? I am very sure you all has this experience before.

If Malaysia is to be attacked by other country, i am very sure we will identify ourself as Malaysian rather than malays, chinese or indian and fight against the enemy country. We for sure will fight as ONE PURE MALAYSIAN to protect our FAMILY and FRIENDS of different culture and religion who is living in the land of MALAYSIA just because they are in Malaysia, our homeland, the land that we loved so much, the land that gave us a lot of our childhood memories.

Another example, Dr. Siddiq,if racial tension is to occur between Malay and Chinese and you can only choose one side, which side will you choose? (Disclaimer: this question is NOT to provoke any race and not to threaten the security of Malaysia, this question is to give examples and for educational purposes. Sorry i have to be very careful with my word as i can be charged anytime). A very hard position for you to choose right? This is because your father is genetically a Malay and your mother is genetically a chinese. You can’t protect you dad as the chinese might harm your dad and you cant choose your mum as malay will harm you mum. You are genetically connected to Malay and Chinese and you will choose both of them if can.

So, we can’t deny that UMNO will fight for the rights of Malay, MCA/DAP/GERAKAN for chinese, MIC for indian, PAS for Islam, SAPP for Sabahan, and PKR for Malay/chinese/indian etc..etc….

The fact is we CANT change the RACE(GENE) but we CAN change the ENVIRONMENT (PHYNOTYPE) to lead a better peaceful life and together we lead Malaysia to a Prosperous country. There will be no BANGSA MALAYSIA identity if WE don’t want to change our mentality for the good of Malaysia. If everyone in Malaysia has the combination of gene i mentioned, and is brought up in Malaysian culture, i am very sure there will be no dispute and arguements.

Barrack Obama didn’t fuck us up but proved us that he being genetically composed of white gene and black gene who is brought up in mixture of white, black, asians culture can protect his motherland USA for the benefits of US citizens not not african-american citizen alone. He is US citizen not african-american. He is able to do that because USA has no such special privillages for any race.

Hope Malaysian can learn from US. We can’t change the gene but we can change the environment factors. So that we fight for Malaysia and not malay, chinese, indian, etc….

Throughout my life in Malaysia, from family and friends we have heard that the Malays are lazy, the chinese are self-centered and arrogants, the indians are drinkers and jobless. Why should we be so negative? Why can’t we be as UNITED as Malay, as HARDWORKING as chinese, as TOUGH as Indian?

Malay worry that they can’t catch up with the rest of the race in which making them have to protect their privilleges, well i dont deny that i will protect my privillages if i am a Malay too. They defend the privillages for their future generation. But if Malay doesn’t think that chinese and indian as other race inspite, think them as Malaysian, they wont be so protective and will share the privillages and indirectly more force can be added in moving our country ahead. This will give benefits to Malay as well.

For chinese, they felt arrogant, they don’t want to share their wealth with other races, the look down on other races and they are ego is because they strive through the odds of being not having privillages but they can still be sucessful. Everyone has self pride and ego and i cant blame that they do not want to share their wealth to others with privellages. They strive for their child and to protect their coming generation despite of restricted privillages. If no restriction and all Malaysians are with equal privillages, i believe the chinese will help other races as well because they dont have to worry that their child could not go to Local University or cant buy a house or car or to get job security.

I refer indian as tough as majority lack of both privillages and jobs. They are tough in the sense that they have good stamina of working (e.g. lorry drives) and they change job or do multiple jobs at a time. They can stand long hours of job time in spite of little gain in return. We cant say they are bad as they like to drink. They has a lot of stress and more emotionally vulnerable so they unfortunately resulted in drinking.

As i said, if all the races in Malaysia has PURE MOTIVE to make a Malaysia a prosperous country with the single mindset of ‘I AM MALAYSIAN RACE’, i can assure Malaysia will be developing fast in just a century.

Come on Malaysian, please realise that NO other country like malaysia has so much natural resources, no other country like malaysia has least natural disaster, no other country has plenty water as malaysia, no other country can generate environmental clean energy as much as malaysia, no other country has much varieties of food as malaysia, not much country has good weather as Malaysia,no other coutry has RM1 healthcare that can be found in Malaysia and not much country has combination of spirits of life of different culture. Let us create a MALAYSIAN RACE or BANGSA MALAYSIA who is UNITED,HARDWORK and TOUGH + Sabah and Sarawakian + orang asli’s good spirits which i have not exposed to (sorry guys, i wanted to learn more about your culture) on the same policy that is FAIR to all.

    Thanks for reading.

I am a medical student who is going to take his major exam in 24 days and hope that my 4 precious hours of producing this response can make you all realise that Bangsa Malaysia is possible in which it depend whether YOU all want to have it or not. Please do not put my effort in vain.

  20. Dr.Sid says:

thanks sickofdiscrimination, i love the way u think. and optimistic, thats the thing that im waiting for, only if we all could think like the way sickofdiscrimination thinks.

i have a story. my family went to Chinese new year celebration almost every year, when we re invited by our Chinese cousin.

when we get there, they will not serve us home food, because they respect our religion and material used for cooking may have being used for pork’s dishes.

so they bring us to outside restaurant, and of course the halal one. i come across one incident in malacca recently, where they found pork flesh inside of the Malay’s house nearby.

this is a total insult. im sad. another bad tragedy to hinder bangsa malaysia into action.

  21. SickOfDiscrimination says:

Hello Dr. Siddiq, i am quite sad that such a thing could happened. But only 2 reasons that i could reason out is that someone either non-muslim or other people might have threw the pork flesh into the house in which somehow between the owner and thrower might have got grudges and another reason could be the owner himself/herself having it.

I am not insulting but just to give differential diagnosis. It could happen eventhough is rare. In my life, i have heard thrice that some Muslim consuming pork just because it’s nice. I was a bit surprise but not that surprise. What we can only hope is that he or she realised the wrong doing and stop it immediately. In my believe, there are 3 main greeds that human may tend to commit eventhough he or she doesnt want to. Those are food, money, and sex. We may felt angry eventhough it is very provoking, but let Allah punished either the thrower or the owner.

Definitely the thrower is wrong but i am very sure he or she did that because he/she wanted to make other people suffer. By this way they may get satisfaction to compensate their grudges or hurt feeling that they have collected in his or her heart directly from the owner. Nothing is done without any purpose. The only problem is just that Malaysians are not mature enough to settle the problem by polite way. Quite sad though. As you can see in the Dewan Rakyat….sigh.. a total clown show in there… Shy to become Malaysian somehow. I wonder what other countrymen might have reacted when they see such ’show’ in Dewan Rakyat.

Anyhow,I am just giving my opinion now. If i am a Muslim and i am the owner. Even if the pork is thrown into my house and i know that pork is very dirty and sinful if touched, i will forgive the thrower and think back what I have done until people wanted to throw the pork into my house. “Bersabar adalah separuh daripada Iman” (Learned from my Malay friend, XD). I believe we must change ourself before changing others. No point for us to get angry and then throw the anger at other non-muslim who is innocent. Let the incident passed and take it as pay back for them as I myself have done something wrong to him or her.

Well, it is easy to talk but very very hard to put into action. But tell you what, I tried that before and it works. It is just the matter of whether we ownself wanted to change to make the difference or not. Everything is just about EGO.

The main thing that we need is to practice tolerance which we learned in school day years ago. Like now, the reason why i online for awhile is because the ceramah taking place in the surau is a bit too loud for me as i am revising for my exam. I do not blame that the speaker has to be turned on loud so that the people who is busy in the house can hear the ceramah without have to be in surau.(e.g. mother of the house preparing lunch can hear in the meantime preparing food for family). Well all i can do is to relax a while and continue with study after the ceramah finish.Indeed, just in time, the ceramah stopped. I can continue with my studies. See ya!

  22. Shazz says:

I agree in that Bangsa Malaysia is very difficult to achieve but it does not mean that we cannot live together peacefully. I was public schooled from standard 1 to form 5 and I have never thought of my friends racially. I have sat beside Malays, Indians, Chinese with no problems. We used to hang out at eachother’s house, makan-makan, watch movies…..Then the ugly head of racism started to creep in to university and the workplace.

But race base issues just blew up after the Bersih rally, HINDRAF and election. Now, almost every other day in the front page, some issue with racism. It has come to the point where you start to look at people differently. Even at work people talk different languages which is inconsiderate. The thing is why did we not hear this before? Has it been that bad for 50 years and we did not hear about this? Or is it from a small comment, people blow it up out of proportion? Or was it about a different management style over the last 5 years?

It is true that it will take a long time for a non-Malay to be the Prime Minister but the non-Malays have been able to get a decent living. Most of the richest people in Malaysia are non-Malays. How can they say they are being oppressed? You have sekolah jenis which means, that you do not need to mix with other kids. Chinese, Tamil, Hindi shows are on TV and radio. We import Hong Kong and Hindi superstars. There are some places in Malaysia where you can live without speaking Malay and just have non-Halal food. I have been to Philipines, Indonesia and Thailand and they are proud to speak the national language. There are places in ASEAN where there is total assimilation where you have to change your name but this has never been the case here.

It is true that China and India have rich and proud histories and I totally respect that. But I will never allow Malaysia to be these countries. We have a proud tradition from the Nusantara. Even from our northern neighbours. Our history goes back to Malacca and even longer to the Kerajaan Nagara Kedah somewhere in the year 800. To make Malaysia to another Singapore is a disgrace and disrespectful to our history where with all of their advances and ‘democracy’, you have Singlish and the main history we know goes back to Stamford Raffles and maybe a bit longer to Parameswara.

All of us have to accept that this is still ‘Tanah Melayu’ and only then we can move forward. To those who think I am a racist, you can look at the definition of a Malay and see that if you convert to Islam and habitually speak Malay, you can be a Malay. Note that habitually speak Malay does not mean you cannot speak other languages or celebrate other languages. We all know where Tun Dr. Mahathir’s roots are. My heritage is varied as well.
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Malaysian_Malay

    My two cents :)

  23. SickOfDiscrimination says:

    Dear Shazz,
I totally agree with you that racial issue never happened during school life especially from standard one up to form 5. I myself was brought up with Malay friends since standard 1 till form 5 as I was in SK school.I dont consider him or her as different race from me. Indeed i love them as much as my bro and sis and we have no problems at all in anything. Play soccer together, tease each other and laughed together, study together, ran to our school canteen together and eat together. That was a wonderful life I had ever had.

Same as you, I started to see the BAD SIDE of our country when I end my form 5 especially during the application of JPA. It really gave me a real deep scars and I am actually still adjusting to it and I always find alternative reasons for the occassion that had occured just to comfort myself.I had always think scientifically and try to forgive others. I always believe that what had happened to me is not occuring by chance, there must be a reason that can be solved. It is just like finding the etiology of the disease and there is a treatment that can be used to cure it,or if cant be cured at least can manage it.

No doubts that previously JPA is a total program for Non-bumis. It was then introduced 10% to Non-Bumi some years later. Non-bumis should be proud and shut up and appreciate it. I shall say the non-bumis are not appreciative, dont you think so? Yes a little bit I would say. But for your info, the non-bumis who got the JPA are mostly son’s and daughter’s of DATUK or from a RICH family background.Cable here and cable there, corrupt here and corrupt there, no money no talk, it is not about how much you know and it is about WHO you know… bla bla bla.. i have heared enough.

To become a doctor is my dream since small. I have no idea why i wanted to become a doctor but deep in me, i can only see doctor is the best person to heal people, give people hope and trust without racial, sex, nationality barrier, and i would say doctor is a Saint or Mailaikat or Dewa or buddha.
Remember that we have to fill 3 most desired jobs in a form during our sekolah rendah? I cant believe i filled all the 3 blanks as doctor, doktor, docktor for 6 years.

I studied really hard in secondary school because i know being a doctor is not easy as a real hardwork is the prerequisite for the profession. My families fell ill with stroke, cancer, and kidney failure during my teenage life and these boosted me to work harder for a doctor. When after SPM I got 8A1 for the rest and 1A2 for sejarah. This straight away makes me worry as non-bumis have to get straight As to get at least a CHANCE, if not you get no choice but try again in form 6. I applied JPA and was damn happy to be called for interview. At the end, my hope vanished as I was rejected and was given NOTHING. Applied Matriculasi too but rejected.

It was the worst day of my life as I know even if I got 4As in STPM, my dream will not be secured.I do not mind to try and strive for it and I believe I can do it. But deep in me said it is of no use. Already evident that 4As STPM student always complained in local newspaper that they did not get a seat in local uni for doctor and critical subjects.

I really isolated myself for a day and pity my parents, they were sad and dont really knew what to do. That was the time I was questioning why, and why and why. I am from middle class family in which my parents earn just enough for daily living and cant really pay for private uni. My dad has been a great father. He knew that my dream is only to become doctor but not others. He said ‘do you want to go for F6 or try private university? You dont have to worry about the money as we have got plan’. At the meantime we sought for appeal at putrajaya.

JPA office was the only hope to reappeal. We waited in the lobby and was hoping a chance to talk to the person in charge. We saw a Malay family and my mum friendly talk to them. My mum is really fluent in Malay language and really friendly. She was also brought up with Malay friends. She was so naive to think that everyone went to JPA office on that day was for appealing. We got to know that they were there to get letter of offer. My mum congratulated them and from her face i can see that she really congratulated with sincere heart. So my mum told the makcik, “wah, anak mesti sangat pandai eh”. Makcik said that her son got JPA for engineering course in USA.

Then my mum ask what was her son’s result? (well I cant deny the fact that my mum is a very busy body kind of person i shall say). the auntie replied that her son got 5 As and physics B and add maths B. Well, this really flared my temper deep in me. That was my worst experience I had ever had. Added with the still immature mind, racial issue comes in my mind. Why Bumis can get so easily? Why we worked hard but still not deserving any change? Was i borned in china and seludup into this country? wasn’t I the son of MALAYSIA? What makes me not deserving than him? of course to secure JPA scholarship is 9A1s but how come my friend can get without securing straight A1s but he deserved it? Wasn’t my intention to become a doctor to help Malaysian never counting races, religion, nationality?

Dear Shazz, dont you think that I was OPPRESSED from being a doctor to help your people,my people, their people and other people? My intention is really pure and why would my motherland betrayed me like that? Come on man, if you put yourself in my shoes then you can feel it. But do we have a chance to say it out? when we said out we are being labbelled as a person who spark the racial tension, the terrorist, the one who create havoc, the one who being not appreciative..etc. I am very sure a lot of people like me out there suffer the same and some might be even worse (i.e. no chance to study what they like).

What I wanted to convey is that,I hope JPA scholarship is not given based only on result and special treat and must based on the family background and results. Most of my friend who got straight A’s but their father and mother are rich and can support them for high quality education. They never have to worry about giving their children good education if they never get JPA. If JPA is to be given to the real person who is qualified (both result and financially qualified), then the country moves faster.

Well, as I grew up i observed things more. I learn facts and always put myself in other people’s shoe to see how they think. Of course I learned to forgive and see things with another view. I appreciate more things if i try to forgive and try to divert my anger by appreciating what i did to make people happy.

Example will be, when I clerked patients in hospitals they are mainly Malays, and ironically I didn’t see them as Malay but as Malaysians. I didnt have the bias thought that why should i talk to you and why should i give you respect that you didnt give me? In fact i explained to them their disease and make them understand why they are having such disease and what to prevent it or to do to maintain their health from progressively worsen.

Once I remembered a Malay auntie asked me why i was in private uni and asked what was my result. I told her my result and I smiled friendly to her. She smiled back to me with a guilty face. Anyhow, her guilt didnt make me feel that “yea! finally i make you feel guilty for not giving me a chance to study”. I realised that I didnt feel that because I finally understood that she is purely innocent. No point for me to throw anger at her or any Bumis. It wasnt her fault as she is not the one rejected my application. Well i prefer to enjoy the feeling of seeing a patient be thankful to you when you make them understand what is happening to them with their disease and ways to make it better.

Maybe you all will think “Well currently you are in private med school. Yea, your dream comes true. So sickofdiscrimination shut the f**k up since you achieved your dream!”. Well for your info, i loaned more than 5 digits of money plus 4% interest every month when i work. My service is for Malaysian, not for myself and my people only.

Shazz, to clear your doubt about the Sekolah Jenis as you said “… Most of the richest people in Malaysia are non-Malays. How can they say they are being oppressed? You have sekolah jenis which means, that you do not need to mix with other kids…” I would like to share with you what i have observed from my Chinese friend in sekolah jenis.

Non-malays who are rich now are those who suffered a lot since small. They worked really hard for it in order to secure a better future for their offsprings. I was really surprised to get to know that the chinese school kids when they grow up and when they work, they still have very strong loyalty to their primary and secondary schools. They realised that they learned their hardwork culture from there and be appreciative to get education from there which makes them the man today. That’s why they do not mind contributes their money for the school with full support in order to make the school survive and not counting on government fund fully (it is the fact that sekolah jenis get less fund and please dont say that the school already receiving money and why should the government give more? come on, it is fact that government fund is from taxes and by saying taxes you ownself agreed that non-bumis are the rich comparatively, meaning that you know who pays more taxes comparatively).

For you (Shazz and SK school fella)and me, we are really fortunate to get good desk, big comfortable classrooms, and wider padang for us to run about as our government gave full funds to maintain the school. And some school may be more lucky, they get BIG MODERN BUSES!

The Sekolah jenis is their every bits of effort and their culture, for some maybe the school is their own life, that’s why they wanted to defend the culture like how you want to defend Malaysia as Tanah Melayu. They defend the sekolah jenis is not because they wanted to segregate from other malays kids. If you are observant enough, you will have noticed that currently a lot of Malay parents sent their children to Sekolah Kebangsaan Jenis (C).More Malays speaks chinese and learned chinese culture nowadays. Did the tycoon Apeks stopped Malays from entering the school fully or partially funded by them despite there are loads of Grade A sekolah bistari out there?

Try to put yourself in their situation and understand it.you will see the reason why the chinese is still so ego and why they say they are oppressed comparatively. If everyone understands each other, no fights will happen. Please do not have the perception on Chinese who borned on the earth of Malaysia like those chinese who supplied tongkang for the portuguese to land Melaka during Sultan Mahmud’s era. That’s because they were merchant and their families were in China. For Me and other non-bumis, do you think we will do that? our dad and mum is on this land man.. if i betray my country my parents suffer.
Please stop saying “if dont like Malaysia, get out of Malaysia!”. It is very hurting and I dont see the point why such phrase has to be shouted on non-bumis when they are trying the explain the situation.

If you do really think that non bumis are trying to change malaysia to the second singapore, they could have done it earlier 50 years ago by breeding more. Come on, please do not have the perception that the chinese and indians wanted to take over this country from malay. Tanah Melayu is not the phrase I know when I was borned on to this earth. What I know is Malaysia is my country and not as Tanah Melayu.

It is quite sad that my internet friends from overseas asked where on earth is Malaysia. I was even SADDER when he could answer my question perfectly which sound like this ‘Do you know where is Singapore?”. I replied in dismay that Malaysia is just above Singapore…..

  24. Shazz says:

    Dear SickofDiscrimination,

Being a human being as well, I too feel that you should deserve better. Getting 8A1s is no mean feat and I totally salute you. As with you, I do believe that ultimately Malaysia has to reward Malaysians based on merits. Being a doctor is one of the most noble professions in the world along with teachers and I do pray for your success to achieve your dreams. I too applaud the government when they reduce the bumiputera quota for scholarships. This has to be a lesson to all Bumiputera youth to stop wasting their time with all this rempit and lepak nonsense and be a positive contibutive citizen to Malaysia and the world.

Perhaps I was being over stereotypical over people but it is when I read blog responses like the one in the main article (and others), as the phrase goes, “Them are fighting words”. Regarding the Sekolah Jenis, yes, I do have Malay friends who went to Chinese schools and they did learn things which they don’t teach in regular schools. But, I also heard they had to endure some hardships. And non-bumi students are still a small percentage. Comparing SKs and SJK’s which has the wider mix of students, generally? My personal experience in the workplace and post-grad studies are that those who went to SJK’s tend to speak their mother tongue with eachother and people who don’t understand them feel left out. This is their right, of course, and I do not blame them. But is this helpful? A couple of my MBA classes had group assignments and sometimes my groupmates would just talk in other languages and I had to politely force my way into the conversation (since I need to earn my marks as well). I have to take some Mandarin classes now but I would still prefer to talk in Bahasa Malaysia and English. True, they are proud of their heritage as I am of mine but wouldn’t it be better if everyone goes to SK’s and there would be language, religion or other electives to cater for everybody?

Everybody, Chinese, Indians, Malays, Kadazan, Iban… has, is and always will contribute to Malaysia. We are and always be Malaysians (I hope) and I do hope everybody will be rewarded with their fairshare. I too thought that Ahmad Ismail should have gone to ISA for saying what he did say. I do feel that ultimately, NEP will be obsolete. But as a Malay, I do not want to see us like American Native Indians, do not have a say in their destiny. I may sound a bit dramatic but what can I say, I am a guy, I have a big ego.

Looking at your post, I have to change my view and say that I did feel like a Bangsa Malaysia in school. There were no hidden agendas then and I bear no grudges for prefects who booked me for my hair being 1 mm longer than legal. If we can have that spirit, then who knows.

So, go study and be a fantastic doctor and help people. I wish you nothing but the best.

PS. I was on a business trip overseas and took a quick city tour. A Canadian couple asked where I was from and I said Malaysia. Then they said “Twin Tower?”, I said yes and asked how did they know. They said from the movie Entrapment. So, we are not that insignificant after all :)

  25. SickOfDiscrimination says:

    Dear Shazz,

Well, I myself cant agree more that it is better if all children can be put into one SKs as I myself had undergone it. I feels that SK is the only chance for us to grow together. Talk about nuturing the spirits from home? noway as in current situation, you and I can see with our own eyes, there are reserved lots for Malays only and Tamans for chinese where no Malays stay. How to nuture it? school will be the last hope.

But before all SJK is abolished, securities and promises must be made to convinced them that the culture of the particular SJK not to be abolished in spite it is to be incooperated with SK, for example “the lessons of hardship”. And of course about the fundings, I know you know….., something has to be changed.

Glad that I get this golden opportunity to chat with such a mature thinking person like you. Malaysia will have great hope if all (bumis and non-bumis) knows how to think like you dispite of blindly accusing other each other without facts and understandings. Tolerance is the best solution for all i shall say.Even myself I shall admit that some chinese are also indeed very racist, I wish i could apologise for them to you all.

I am really amazed the way how you replied me back with rational reply and non-hurting words despites accepting some of the facts that seems logical to you. This is how the business tactic goes as well =).haha… it is not sarcastic mind you. We shall have Win-Win situations to solve a problem anyway. A problem wont be a problem unless there is no problem.

You are one of the true brothers of Malaysian that I wished all can follow. Cheers to you and your Allah will bless you and your family forever. Peace among brothers and sisters in Malaysia!

PS: Ouh god, we are Twin Towermen/women after all.. Well, it’s a good start. Better than my above Singapore experience. At least currently in medical field is ok, the Brittish commented that the Malaysian Doctors are superb! How true it is…only God knows..

    salam muhibbah,

saya merasa sgt terpanggil setelah membaca artikel shazz dan sickofdiscrimination.sememangnya anda berdua adalah contoh bg halatuju negara kita di masa hadapan.sememangnya saya sgt menyokong pandangan dan ideologi anda berdua.kedua2nya ada kebenaran tersendiri.yg penting kita semua harus bersyukur di atas apa yg telah kita sama2 kecapi selama ini.baik bumiputra atau bukan bumiputra.untuk saudara sickofdiscrimination,i really solute u for ur experience n what u have gone thru.cumanya,di sini saya juga ingin memberi sedikit pandangan berkenaan isu hak dan keistimewaan org melayu.pada saya, isu ni tak menjadi suatu halangan pun utk bangsa lain terus mengecapi kesenangan.malah disebabkan hak dan keistimewaan inilah yg menjadikan bangsa lain lebih berjaya berbanding dr sesetengah melayu itu sendiri..jd saya kira, sepatutnya kita semua boleh hidup dgn lebih harmoni.walaupun melayu itu diberi hak keistimewaan tp kalau tak berusaha betul2 tak dpt juga.pada saya.org melayu takkan kisah kalau bangsa lain mintak hak mereka..cuma jgn mempersoalkan hak dan menyentuh sensitiviti org melayu saja.kalau minta dgn cara yg sepatutnya, pasti dpt apa yg dihajat.cepat atau lambat saja.sejarah telah membuktikan toleransi dan timbang rasa org melayu.13 mei terjadi setelah org melayu dicabar sensitivitinya.
secara logiknya, memanglah kita akan rasa tak adil bila diskriminasi terjadi..tp,cuba bygkan sebaliknya kalau kita bertukar negara.bygkan jika malaysia ini kt tukarkan menjadi negara china atau india.perkara yg sama juga akan berlaku.org melayu akan jd non bumi and takkan diberi keistimewaan hak walaupun lahir di sini.cumanya pada saya,yg penting kita jalankan tugas kita sebagai rakyat negara ini dgn sejujurnya dan hidup dgn aman tanpa ada iri hati dan dengki dgn sesiapa.siapa yg dpt lebih, agaknya memang dia bernasib lebih baik dr kita..kalau kita rs tak cukup, kita usaha lg dgn lebih baik.at the end of the day, kita juga yg akan dpt faedah dr usaha kita sendiri.

    Dear Muhibbah,

“If the Rules of the Game are Made Unbalanced,
then DON’T expect the players to play the game Equally.”

As long as Supremacy stands, as long as the fate of Malaysian’s Unity crumbles.

I understand the point on the fear of Bumis become treated like Red Indians in the US. Bumis at that time DID need a good push to bring up to speed. But dat was 50 yrs ago. NEP DID made a big numerical differences over the years. But also in the meantime, created hate and jealousy due to inequality among races. More and more cases like SickOfDiscrimination’s would continue to happen.

Thats the problem of us Malaysians.. We’r being thought to differentiate neighbors in terms of races since we were born.. not contribution and material needs..

Im not trying to be an extremist or to represent any parties in Malaysia. Just to draw the underline what any human would do when felt being treated unfairly.

for reference, take the Maslow’s hierarchy of needs (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maslow%27s_hierarchy_of_needs)

sensing inequality(both bumis and non bumis) triggers emotions of distress and ultimately activates Defense Mechanisms(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Defence_mechanism) due to the violation of the second level of hierarchy of Maslow, Safety Needs. By that, people shall never archive Unity(in level 3, Love and Belonging Needs) and become patriotic(in level 4, Esteem Needs).

The only way out i see is change the rules of the game. Suppressing it shall only bring further grudges. Because either explosively or implosively, every1 shall be initiated to “protect themselves” when they feel unequally treated.

    Bangsa Malaysia?
the question is not How, its When.
