Speaking up the truth and unraveling the lies to make Malaysia a better place

Anti-Tomboy Fatwa?

I came across this video yesterday, perhaps I am not the right person to speak about religion, but nevermind. If it is true that the National Fatwa Council ( Majlis Fatwa Kebangsaan ) is going to propose a new fatwa to come out with a fatwa banning the tomboy girl, short hair girl, I wonder why are these girls protesting against it. Because fatwa only effective, enforceable to Muslim.

When fatwa has been decided, it is a mere declaration and no other. A mere declaration is to clear the dust, to provide a clear explaination towards certain issues that still on blind papers. It is not part of legislative, where it does not being considered a law to be followed.

Moreover, this fatwa is only enforceable to Muslim people, and they never interfere into other religion. So why are these protesters seem afraid and offended? Do they ever have a locus standi here to wave up the banner march along the city to against this becoming fatwa?

The council act in good faith, but nevertheless, public interpretes it wrongly. But I have a suggestion. The fatwa may want to specify the scope, in order to ban the said group of people. Don’t just come out with a short hair cut solely, as the criteria to say that these people are lesbian or whatsoever. It is not fair I must say.

It is the behaviour of the society that construct the mind of the people, and their man-alike style that render them into this immoral activities. Not because of their hairstyle.

If the Fatwa were to impose this aganist women, I want the same thing being imposed to these “sotong-sotong” man as well. The fatwa must act fairly, and shall not operate between classes. If they were to reduce the pengkid or maybe lesbo rates, they must reduce the gay pal also.

And for the chicks inside the video, no worry, they are not coming for you. Unless you make yourself Muslim first, then you can join the rally. I wonder why certain girls who claim themselves as a “straight” type orientation, love short hair-cut. Rambut panjang kan manis?hehe..

    Salam Perjuangan,

Do these dummies even know what Fatwa means? Like you said, “Because fatwa only effective, enforceable to Muslim”, I don’t see them as Solehahs. Does such fatwa affect their daily life? I am still in shock to see that dummies like these still exist in Malaysia.

The Council didn’t mention about a statement saying that all tomboys are lesbos. They say that tomboy-ing yourself may lead to homosexuality. Repeat: may lead to homosexuality, no accusations made. In Islam, it is forbidden to conduct such act.

Above all, these dummies are pure dummies. They think they are smart enough to make a public statemment through protesting in the streets. What a lame choice of action. They are no different than the Hindraf’s. Nevertheless, this proves that their state of mind are so yesterday.

p/s: aku sokong benar pandangan dr.sid. Majlis Fatwa juga perlu keluarkan fatwa ’sotong2′ ni.

    Assalamualaikum Dr. Sid,

Aku tabik Nyonya tu …..

it’s a matter of perspective… why we think that girl with long hair is better than girl with short hair? same with girl in tudung labuh is better than those in biasa.. that’s skin-deep judgement. this is holier-than-thou attitude… what is there in image anyway.. it’s the heart and faith that matter.. why dun u guys propose new fatwa against reckless driving, against those who just love to critisize anybody else just because they are different? that wud be interesting…

kenapa perlu majlis fatwa mengeluarkan fatwa berkenaan perkara ini sdgkan bukankah mmg jelas hukumya haram jika seseorang wanita itu berkelakuan seperti lelaki?? bukankah fatwa itu dikeluarkan apabnial sesuatu isu kabur.. tetapi isu wanita berjkelakuan spt lelaki adalah satu isu yg x perlu dipersoalkan hukumnya…
