Speaking up the truth and unraveling the lies to make Malaysia a better place

BAR Council And Army To Join Malaysian Politics?

After a breaking massive moment of Bar Council’s Ambiga the current president, and her friends making a pretty well controversial forum, rally and etc, they went out with a press statement defending their position as apolitical bodies and unlikely to be one of those political bodies existed. Nahh, I would rather call this as a “silent march” through the Malaysian politics.

I have stressed out earlier in my previous article that the Bar must remain its function as an NGO. Moving motions that likely to be politically motivated such as the social contract forum is not a very smart move to be done by a bodies representing 12,000 lawyers in the peninsular. Well many of readers who are supportive towards the Bar may come out with words like a-pilling argument supporting any movement where justice and equality may concerned, and the Bar is playing decently to be in its surrounding area of discussion, where it may not be political or whatsoever.

One has to clear the topics before we move on to the essence of the discussion. The Bar, representing only several open-minded lawyers may suit their very best field to discuss about these sensitive issue thing, such as the conversion forum and the said social contract. But nevertheless, not many of Malaysians feel the same way they felt towards this open-mind discussion. It may be sensitive to certain people, but not to these so-called open-minded lawyers.

Having said that, the Bar as a wise body of legal representatives, may have forseen the consequences of their action if they were to proceed with this sensitives issues. Don’t underestimate the people that may not know what law is all about. Please have some respect to other conservative or sensitive Malaysian as well. This country does not only belongs to the member of the Bar, but for the rest of 26 million people, for God sake. Yet they told the press that they are apolitical body. I suggest they study on what constitute politics basically first. Is it by discussing about the social contract was not even in the political scope? Or maybe, be considerate upon the country’s stability since the conversion forum could held this country into the valley of chaos. Don’t you have any social advisor to forecast this kind of possibility? So beware.

Recently, The Armed Forces chief said the military had no intention of interfering in the political affairs of the country. Jeneral Tan Sri Abdul Aziz Zainal said the armed forces would leave it to the Government to handle race relations in the country, which has been played up by some parties lately. “The armed forces is highly professional and apolitical. I was only voicing my concern over the issue,” he said of his call to the Government on Tuesday to take stern action against those who stoked racial sentiments.

When Army has make a sound, its not a sound-mind to have a view that the particular country is riding all-right. The General of Thai Army made a suspicious statement days before he took over the throne from the democracy government. When army speaks, they mean it. Oh no, I am not trying to inculcate the minds of the readers that our army are planning for something, no. Just things are not quite well nowadays, so the army speak to their loud. Don’t worry, the constitution protect this army to abide the Yang Di-Pertuan Agong as the Highest Chief of Arm-Forces. No such thing as “Rampasan Kuasa” or whatsoever. However, I am strongly disagree if the army were to intefere into our political arena, as that may be considered as out of their area of substantive power practiced.

Our country is sick, people. With all hatred and racial gesture are making themselves wiser, we have to unite and end this woes immediately. How? Its start from the deepside of your sincere heart.

I do agree. Malaysian Bar should remain as NGOs body.

But, the reality is, upon 20 sept 98 (Anwar Ibrahim cases), Bar coucil seems involuntarily take part by affirm Anwar(trully belive that the detention of anwar intentionally based on politically reason).

So, i do agree with Wu Min Au in his writing, he atated that Bar council should be independent body. For sure they can rise oppinion upon Anwar cases 98.

But, they shoul use their wisdom, think wisely an not biased to any others.

Malaysian Bar seems to be biased upon opposition since the dissmisal of Tun Salleh Abbas and two others judges.

Wu Min Au further stated that, otherwise, Bar Council exit from take part as NGOs by existing as political party.
