Recently the PAS and UMNO top leadership has met three times to discuss on the Malay and Muslim unity. considering the current unstable political scene invloving the Malays, such meeting will help to ease the tension atleast. but DAP de facto leader Lim Kit Siang ikan was not happy about it.
Quoted from The Star ; “The three dialogues between Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi and PAS decision makers raise the question why the Prime Minister was focusing on Malay unity rather than on Malaysian unity, DAP national advisor Lim Kit Siang wrote in his blog.
“
Has he forgotten another of his pledges, to be the Prime Minister of all Malaysians and not just of any race?” asked Lim.
He was commenting on the three discussions that Abdullah held with PAS leaders, which began right after the general election in March.
Among the PAS leaders Abdullah met were deputy president Nasharuddin Mat Isa, Terengganu commissioner Datuk Mustapha Ali and Shah Alam MP Khalid Abd Samad.
Lim alleged Malaysian nation building had gone backwards and that the Vision 2020 objective of a “Bangsa Malaysia” was increasingly frowned upon as a misplaced target.”
The Malays nowadays has been diverted to various ideologies. all Malays NGOs had expressed their worries on the current climax of the Malay politics and socials.
After much deliberation, both UMNO and PAS, decided to seat together to discuss about the Malay and Muslim unity. Nevertheless, lim kit siang doesn’t like it.
He is worried that if the Malays were to unite, willing to give and take, will eventually destroy their “hidden motive”. Despite of they expressing their advise towards PAS for not to trust UMNO, I will tell you that PAS should be more careful towards the DAP.
In respect of the law, the article of 153, and other affirmative action provisions as stated in the constitution, lim kit siang has always disregard the Malays position as the indigenous people of Malaya. he maybe got an E for history lesson during his studies.
What is he affraid of if UMNO and PAS are only discussing on the Muslim unity? unless he is a Muslim, then he might feels isolated since they are not inviting him to the meeting.
I love to say this again and again as a reminder to those aggressive DAPees, that DAP must always thankful they are born as Malaysian. if they were to born as Indonesian, they will find their heads chopped off on the street along the Jakarta city since their rude and arrogant behaviour could never be accepted by the bumiputra of that country.
